Welcome to the Calgary Communications Club web site!

One of the Club's objectives is to have fun. We hope the information and links on this site help you enjoy Amateur Radio.

Meeting Notes

The next meeting will be Saturday, May 23, at Al VA6ACL's place. Time: TBA. We will be discussing the programming of radios, manually and with software. It was decided to cancel the April meeting in lieu of the Flea Market on April 18.

Special Events:
Flea Market is April 18, at 10:00AM at Eastside Community Church (far east end of Memorial Drive). $5 entrance fee includes a burger or hot dog and free coffee or pop. The flea market is a good place to put faces to voices and do some socializing, as well as hunting for "ham treasures".

We are planning a BBQ for Saturday, June 27.

Club Objectives

  1. To promote amateur amateur radio.
  2. To afford opportunity for friendly and social activities.
  3. To provide a meeting place for the consideration and discussion of questions affecting the interests of the Club.
  4. To encourage and foster among its members a recognition of the importance of communications in times of emergency or community need.
  5. To sell, manage, lease, mortgage, dispose of, or otherwise deal with the property of the Club.
  6. To always remember that this is only a hobby and not to take ourselves too seriously.
